What is the difference between financial lease and operational lease?

With financial lease you finance the commercial vehicle and become the owner at the end of the term; the vehicle is on your balance sheet and you arrange maintenance and insurance yourself. With operational lease you rent the vehicle for a fixed monthly price that includes maintenance, tyres and often insurance and road tax; at the end of the term you return the vehicle.

How soon can I drive a lease vehicle?

Vehicles from stock can usually be registered and delivered within a few working days after acceptance of the lease application. New vehicles on operational lease have a delivery time that varies per model.

Can I lease as a self-employed person or start-up?

Yes. Financial lease is also available to the self-employed and start-ups; a Chamber of Commerce registration is enough to apply. The lease company assesses the application, often within one working day.

Do the monthly amounts shown include VAT?

The monthly amounts for financial lease are excluding VAT and based on the standard term and a balloon payment of 15 % of the purchase price. You pay the VAT on the purchase price at delivery and can reclaim it as a business.
